New Mobile Platform Ovi from Nokia
Nokia is the market leader in India in mobile phones and one of the most leading brands in the world. Recently, the Finnish company has launched a new mobile platform called Ovi which means door in Finnish. With the lauch of Ovi it is quite clear that Nokia is quite serious about content distribution on mobile platform and concentrating on Mobile value added services(VAS). Nokia is in the process of offer mobisodes (viewing television on mobile) soon and it has partnered with few content developers in this regard. Nokia already has a download store along with music, gaming, maps etc and with Ovi they are bringing all the scattered services under one umbrella. For example, you can download the Nokia PC suite free of cost.
The Ovi site is accessable from two addresses – http://ovi.nokia.com/services/ or http://www.ovi.com/services/. It offers maps, calender, music, pictures all at one place and you can share them too with whom you like. You can seamlessly integrate your internet enabled mobile phone and your PC (computer) using the Ovi suite.
