  Google Goog 411 is a free voice search service. This service can be availed by making a telephone call to 1-800-466-4411 or 1-877-466-4411 or a stand # +1-425-296-4774. To use this all you need is a mobile or landline phone. It is an automated system contrary to what we have in India like Justdail. In justdial, a human answers your queries. Wheres to keep the service free with rising demands in future it will be very difficult to be cost effective. So they used an automated system. Most probably they are using the same search algorithm with an addition of voice recognition. Once you are connected it will ask your located and what you are looking for. Once you give the input, it will connect you to the business related to your query. As of now the service is available only in the US and Canada.

  Mobile phone users can even receive a sms by just saying “Text message” or “Map it.” Watch a demonstration by the Google guy himself.
