These days the Indian market is flooded with marriage and match making websites. But most of cater based on caste and community. But I found a few new age sites who beg to differ. Who defies the norms of caste and creed.

1. Marrygold.co.in: This website is run by Nandini Chakraborty. She describes her matchmaking site as a boutique matchmaker. The site has few conditions to register like you should be educated, broad minded, financially secure and serious about marriage. They do not allow any case and creed for matchmaking. Also, no horoscope matching an stuffs. The sole criteria is if you like! It is a premium service, so there is a registration fees. They also offer wedding planner services.

2. Youpid.in: Youpid is a lot like social networking. The idea is matchmaking through networking. The person behind this website is Ruchika Abbi. She explains once a single person signs up, she/he invites two or more single person. This way the network keeps increasing. They have went one step ahead and allowed friends, parents etc to join and help the single person find prospective partner. Youpid mainly thrives on Facebook as it lets you login using facebook connect and invite friends from there. If you do not have a facebook account, you will have to create an account on Youpid. In such a case you will have to invite people using their email address.

The website targets people in the age group of 25 – 40. Another good thing is you can close your account by writing to them and they will close your account within 7 days. And looks like it is Free!

There are talks that the net is getting saturated. I am not talking in terms of data transfer but in terms of new ventures. Well, most of the known ideas has been implemented but the best part of the internet is, one has to be innovative and you have a place for you.
