Have you heard “Australian for Beer”? Hear this too, Australian for money. They know how to make it and steps only where it means business. These days with racial abuse rampant on Indian students, they did what will probably create positive buzz. Recently, the Australian government launched a education based social networking website for Indian students who studied in Australia, currently studying or intend to study. It is called My Oz Network.
Australia earns huge revenue from students go to study there and they treat education as another full fledged industry. Recently, Australia has earned a lot of bad press in India following racial attacks. By networking Indians is a good way of keeping up with the latest update of Australian education scene. But it makes huge business sense. Peer group attracts and peer pressure almost compels. So though this social networking site they want more Indian students to come to Australia and study. Also, it is good for Indian students in many ways like networking, communication, quick information gathering etc.

Facebook Got a New Layout and Look
Filed under Reviews, Social NetworkFeb 11
Good news for Facebook lovers! Facebook has introduced a new layout and look. The new layout is more user friendly. It is a three coloumn structure similar to three column WordPress themes. The two sides bars hosts link to a lot of important features. The left bar features your profile photo, link to your profile, messages, events, photos, friend request, applications, games. Ads and pages, groups and marketplace. At the bottom one can see who are online. The right bar features all kind of suggestions and requests like friend request, page suggestion, friend suggestion etc. The middle column still shows all your updates like message, pictures, videos etc.
On the extreme left hand side on the top, the Facebook logo features the home button and besides it are friend request, messages and notifications. One can also use the Home link on the right hand side of the header, profile link and account options like setting, log out etc by clicking on the account options. One can still access chat from the chat option on the right hand side of footer. To view your personalized information click on the link “View my profile” besides your profile picture. The bottom line is you can access almost everything from a single page. Also, the placing of options is also superb. Very nice and easy user interface.
I think I am loving it! Let me know your thoughts.
