Samsung Metro series mobile phone is in the market for quite sometime. Today I am going talk about Samsung Metro 3500, which I have been using for few months now. This model was launched in June 2009 and runs on 2G – GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz network. Most Samsung phones are slider and this one too is a slider weighing 95 grams. The TFT screen is 2.2 inch and features a resolution of 240×320 pixels. All typical features are available like Polyphonic ringtones, vibrations, MMS, SMS, alam, clock, calender, Bluetooth, FM recording, MP3 player, video player, voice recording, radio etc.

Pictures taken by Samsung Metro 3500 is quite good as it features a 2 mega pixel camera. You can select resolution, the highest being 1600×1200 and lowest is 320 by 240. The memory features 1000 contacts with photo call, internal memory of 40 MB and a microSD card slot expandable upto 8 GB. Samsung claim a talk time of 9 hrs but I dont think a full charge will support more than 4 hrs of talk time.

In Internet and connectivity, it offers Bluetooth 2.0, EDGE, WAP, GPRS but no infrared port. Some other very nice and useful features are mobile prayer which you can set every morning which can make your day, currency converter, stop watch with multiple readers, timer, games, task dairy, world clock, night mode in camera etc.

My view: This is a very stylish and compact cell phone with most of the features you may look for at good price. It should not cost you more then Rs 5000. A very good phone at that price.
