AVAST Internet Security Suite is an anti virus software created by AVAST. Sometimes it has been seen that AVAST ISS do not work and gives an error message “AVAST Internet Security Suite Service Stopped Working” and you will also see in red “Unsecured”. Alright, now lets see how we can troubleshoot this issue.

1. We should try to start the services for AVAST. There are two services for AVAST – AVAST firewall services and AVAST ISS. We need make sure that both of them are automatic and started. If the services are not started then follow the following steps:

For Windows XP:

Start – run – type “services.msc” – look for the two services mentioned above and make them automatic and click on the “start” button to start the services.

For Windows Vista and Windows 7:

Start – Search box – type “services.msc” – look for the two services mentioned above and make them automatic and click on the “start” button to start the services.

2. If you are unable to start the services, look for the dependency services and make sure they are started. In this case it is RPC (Remote Procedure Call).

3. Check for multiple anti virus program. If you find other ones, delete them.

4. Create a new user account and check if it is working.

5. If it is still not working then uninstall and re-install AVAST Internet Security Suite. To uninstall it is advisable to first try with AVAST uninstaller. If that do not work then try Windows native add/remove program in Windows XP and Program and Features in Windows Vista and Windows 7.
