You provided with free domain name as provided by many webhost these days. Aritel website claims to have 15000 templates designs in different categories to help you give better look to your website easily. One can also add a shopping cart with payment options and Google Analytics to analyze your website traffic. Airtel offer both mobile and business website. From their recent decision what I feel is, Airtel is looking to provide a convergence of service as they are already in the business of data centers.

There is a free 30 days trial period to asses their product and service. They are also giving away free prizes like 16 GB ipod, Sony Ericssion walkman phone, PS3 etc for trying their product. If you go for Airtel broadband then you might receive a standard website package for free. But if you looking for a professional website or if you are a techie looking for some venture/blog this this service may not be good enough and is expensive compared to other web hosting services. The pricing is sad with an added one time set up free for different packages. The good is, it had a built in website builder and can be helpful to novices. But with a restriction of 5 pages from the standard package which cost Rs 3000/year is expensive and nonviable in these days of overheated hosting business. They have market it very well otherwise it will not survive. They will most probably focus on the build it yourself plank to sell this product.

My hunch is that they have launched this website builder service to enhance their broadband and core telecoms business  rather than make profit from that service.
