Today I attended an Indiblogger meet in Bangalore. Previously this event was to be handled by “Akhil Khatri” but as he could not come the event was co-ordinated by Indiblogger. Good of them! This is the 3rd time I am visiting their meet. Apart from the introductions and there was one or two topic discussions. Constructive and structured discussion is missing. Also, Indiblogger seems like not able to retain loyal followers. As is evident from new faces at every meet. AT this meet I found only two members from previous events.

However, apart from the minuses they give a platform to the bloggers that something I do appreciate. You can meet few new people and network. This is one aspect you may look into.

The event took place at terrace of Potluck restaurant, BTM layout 2nd stage, Bangalore.

Few days back I had written a article on how to upload pictures on your Twitter account. Since Twitter do not have inbuilt picture uploading facility, so we have to to use services like Twitpic and in process drive traffic from our Twitter account to services Twitpic.

We all know keeping traffic inside your network is important. So what should we do? Host images on your website and this you will redirect people on Twitter to your site.

How to do this?

1. Simply upload images on your webspace and then shorten the url using some URL shortening service. Finally post it on your Twitter account.

2. If you are using WordPress then all this will be taken care an amazing plugin created by Michael Tyson. It supports comments, trackbacks. image resizing and thumbnails.
