Typically, one can see fights over the Tv remote control. But you may not need to do so for long as a new technology has been invented which intends to make remote control obsolete. Some British scientists have invented gesture sensing technology for TVs to help the TV understand what you would like to do – increase the volume, change the channel etc. A small camera built into the television set senses when someone enters its field of vision and searches for their hands. It works on the basis of few signals to be given by the hand which the Gesture sensing interface within the TV will interpret and then follow the commands given.

The research is being carried by a Toshiba team in the UK. They say this technology can also be used in PCs and other gadgets. It has the potential to make the PC mouse obsolete one day.
